The monitor is attached to a Dell Inspiron 6400, WIN XP Pro SP2 (all updates) laptop. The message was posted 02-09-2006. It's possible the monitor doesn't understand the difference between "sleep" and "standby" - a driver might fix that, but doubt you'll ever find a driver for that old a monitor compatible

That monitor should be "plug and play" on VGA - if you're having trouble with it, it might be your video output from the computer, not your monitor.
